New role: Comms volunteer

We’re looking for a new member of our volunteer communications team!

You will play a key role in sharing MBC’s work with the public. As part of the team, you’ll be involved in:

  • Developing and producing content for our social media platforms

  • Developing material for our newsletter to our supporters

  • Commissioning and editing material for our website from the public and relevant experts

  • Maintaining the MBC website as required

Desirable skills/experience:

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Familiarity with Squarespace, WordPress, and Canva

  • Experience working with heritage organisations, social activist groups, and/or academic networks

Working pattern:

  • Online, flexible working – we generally ask volunteers to contribute approximately 3 hours a week
